TRUE LOVE TUESDAY: BEING STILL
Each action and choice, each decision I made brought me to NOW.
My first instinct is to strike out against the tide. I wanted to try to change the outcomes by doing something. I wanted to change everything by doing anything. I worried myself sick trying to analyze my way out of my mess. But here comes the grace: I sat still and let the hand of God move me forward.
There is grace and divinity in being still. Not spending time trying to figure out every angle, trying to lobby God through prayer. Using prayer as a bargaining tool rather than a tool to center one's self. I learned to be still, to let go and let God. Being still does not mean doing nothing. It doesn't mean allowing your life to spiral out of control. Being still is not being inactive.
For me, being still, quieting my mind and tuning out the world's chatter is about turning up the volume to hear God's whisper. Worrying is exhausting and draining and it accomplishes nothing. I caught myself still worrying about this house and I had to force myself back into reminding myself that losing the house is small. And that I will be OK. I am back to being still and that is priceless.

Let that still small quiet voice guide your steps.
I like the repost! Sometimes we have to remind ourself about ourself...
I totally agree with this, and have put it into practice many times when life gets crazy & the sounds in my world go a little insane.
There was a time when I thought the Voice Of Voice was a Thundering Roar. This was because I'd always been taught that God lives in Heaven. But in time, we all have to realize that God lives in US! So yes, sitting still & being very quiet allows us to HEAR that God voice in us. That becomes our directive, our clarity & our SANITY.
Good post, my Sista! A NECESSARY post!
Snatch JOY!
One.
It's hard to let go and let God sometimes, but when we do, we find the calmest release we could have ever imagined. Many of our prayers are answered this way because we practice faith and put our trust in Him. He has always supplied for my every need and no matter what I go through, He has always made a way. He will make a way for you too.
Sister Monica,
The repost is really for myself to reconnect and redefine my path.

Yes, I understand the thought about a big booming voice. I can't tell you when I realized God whispers...LOL!
Thank you.
Kei,
Yes Sister indeed. It is quite a relief when you let go and Let GOD do the heavy lifting. it is a hard concept to articulate. Those of us who know first hand what it means to let the hand of God move us are often left speechless and in awe.
Oh yes, Being still is a blessing and a time for our father to guide and direct our mission...it's a time to listen to your own wants, needs, aspirations and in that quiet, still time, come up with a plan to achieve all you want...and then again it is a time of peace, which we so desperately need in our life...our God is not a God of stress but of peace.
Hey Love:
We are in tune with one another this day. Today, I had to do the same on some issues...let go, and definitely let GOD!
I find the things I don't worry about are the very things that work themselves out quicker than I could have ever expected.
Be blessed!
Thanks for the repost.
We have to be reminded every once in a while that many things are out of our control. We have to sit back and let God do what must be done.
BTW, I tagged you on my site, stop by and take a look when you can.
