I wanted to mark this day. I wanted to do it without my voice added as commentary. I simply wanted to have this speech here today.

Thank you for putting this up. It makes me happy to see and yet want to cry at the same time.

I love this speech. I've probably seen it over a million times. Seriously. I always like to try and capture his soul right before he was murdered.

Sidebar: I read your reply comment. I see you're past that now. Good deal. I was going to say how I found out something similar about my kids mom. It left me stunned.

Hey Anali,

I know what you mean. I feel the same way. It has that affect.

Hey Don,
I love this speech---it lifts you and it makes you think about your won mortality---atleast it does for me.

I emailed you about your sidebar!

You've gotta have his book, " A Testament of Hope" It is absolutely astonishing! I've read almost all of his published writings and they never cease to amaze me, the intestinal fortitude that he exhibited was simply astounding!

It was that speech that touched me at 8 years of age, that speech that moved me. His words echoed and resounded in me. His knowing, his conviction was what i wanted. A young black child, trying to be, King made me believe i could be. No matter whatever was said about him, no matter his deeds, he spoke to my heart and i will forever remember and cherish that. Thanks for sharing lovebabz.

Miz,

I am so with you. He proves to me that we are NOT our worst moments. And that Love is strong and healing and able to change and move the biggest of obstacles!

I never get used to his words. They always resonate with my spirit. Thanks.

Hey SB,

I hate that I only really listen when it's the anniversary of his death and of course the birthday/holiday.

Love, Sis - u may not actually STOP. &. LISTEN to Dr. King's words unless it's an anniversary - but in the short while I've "known" u I'd venture to say u live them as much as any of us can...

thank u for posting this, like Anali it saddens & gladdens me. It's so evident that he knew his dayz were numbered...I am ever grateful to him and my own ancestors for paving the way!
