A WORLD WITHOUT BOOKS: Blog-A-Licious Blog Tour

Today's post is in conjunction with the Blog-A-Licious Blog Tour a fantastic blog hop that brings together bloggers of all genres, backgrounds and locations. In today's hop, the blog featured before Lovebabz: A Life In Transition is  Tina - http://tinahoggatt.wordpress.com/. The blog featured after Lovebabz: A Life In Transition is the captivating John - http://jmountswritteninblood.com/. Do stop by and say hello plus some of us are having giveaways and contests. Enjoy!

There is nothing in my life experiences that I could draw from to even remotely talk about a World Without Books.  They are intricately linked to my existence, and I am sure books are a part of my DNA...there must be a specific gene that links books and spirit.

There is something divine about holding a book in your hand, or falling asleep with several next to you (I know I am not the only one).  I am one of those folks that always has several books going on at once.  It is a skill I have perfected and really can't give up.  My interest vary and so I read books that satisfy that and who cares if its 2-3 books from 2-3 different genres. I am a reader...for pleasure.

There is no such thing as a A World Without Books, or should I say, no world I want to be a part of or live in.  How could I? How could you?

I agree. Books are what helped me during those tough times and I can remember developing my love for them in 6th grade. How could I have discovered all the wonderful poetry and great authors without them? A TV, I could do without but not books.

Oh the joys of being surrounded by many books. I too, have several books 'going on' at once! Aren't we a special breed? ;)

So glad to be on this BlogTour with you Babz!

Agreed. My TV, I could live without (even if I would miss it a little) but not my bookcase. :)

I'm totally the same as you! I am always reading more than one book at a time, even if one has me more sucked in at the moment than the others do. I want to read for pleasure as well, if I can't enjoy anything about a book, I usually will be done with it, it's not worth wasting my precious time on. Great post! Glad to be a part of the Blog-A-Licious Blog Tour with you!

Yes, love my books too. I adore my Kindle now. :) Has all the books I want to read this year in one little package. :)

I have never been able to read more than 1 book at a time - I completely lose my place in one or the other! Good for you to be able to do that :)

Love Babz,

I Agree books are apart of my DNA. Without them the world would not be as open to us..

I'm not so sure books are the key- it's the ideas, history, knowledge, stories, adventures and great loves expressed in them. So books as we know them may disappear in favour of digital e-book readers but the content will live on. Books may still be with us, but less important, more expensive, collectibles perhaps.

I couldn't, wouldn't and shouldn't live in a world of books. Books are my necessity. Nice to met you on this blog tour.

There is definitely something divine about holding a book in your hand. It's the feel of the paper, the rustle of the pages. Loved your post, Babz.

P.S.
"Captivating", huh? I like that.

Yes, I always have a few books bedside and now have made room to include the iPad which always has a few books I'm in the middle of reading. Great post!

Glad to meet you on the tour. I'm really enjoying everyone's posts - and you are right...you're not the only one! ;-) I have books beside me, books on my ereader, and different genres all going at once...it just depends on my mood. Thanks for taking the time to post. ~Janet~ JLB Creatives
