5 KIDS 2 ADULTS, TENTS, AND THE BEAUTY OF CAPE COD!

My Sister-friend JB and I are taking our kids to Cape Cod for the 4th of July weekend. For those of you who are not New Englanders, Cape Cod is about 15 miles from Plymouth, MA---you know were the Mayflower, the Santa Maria, Nina and the Pinta landed. Any way, we're staying at a professional campsite...the kind with tons of activities and the like. We are staying at KOA.

I am so excited about this. This is truly liberating and empowering! My kids are beyond joyous!

We leave today, early Thursday AM)...so mid-afternoon I will be ready for a serious margarita...yes we are making margaritas! We are bringing beer and wine!

This is my first summer vacation in a very long long time! This vacation is so important on so many levels and the fact that it is Independence Day is certainly not lost on JB and I. We started planning this trip when we both were in the early stages of the divorcing process. We just knew things would get better. And things are definitely BETTER!

Have a fab weekend!

Hooray for camping! Have a great time with the kiddos and the margaritas. Nothing like camping with kids and sans men to make you feel all empowered... We went to the redwoods last week, and we all had a blast!

I'm proud of you for getting out there and doing this. Independence Day and all! Have a great time, whoop and holler, laugh yourselves silly and light a firecracker or two...

i celebrate my independence on the 4th of July as well. The last of the toxic relationships...i left him on the holiday, got keys to my new apartment and went to a barbeque...

life is beautiful, have fun camping...at least you guys don't have to deal with bears the way we do.

NUTMEG: Cape Cod is fantastic. It has pretty much of everything anyone would want to do in a lovely setting. If you have time, the Vineyard and Nantucket ferry trips are great.

Have a dozen Quahogs, a Bahstan chaddah and a cold beer for me!

Your comment on our site and my response to your reference to Emmitt Till brought a bunch of truly abhorrent racists to visit. They knew better than to attack you personally but their words were quite something.

PAIN and I took care of them, but it's really quite a string. As if you didn't need more reminders of American bigotry! Very, very strong comment by you, though. One of the very best we've gotten.

You get 4 bells!

Don't ever expect us to take a camping trip. Hubby says he had enough of sleeping outside in the Marines, lol.
