Happens to be my favorite cocktail. The trick to an extra DRY one is to almost eliminate the vermouth, using barely a hint of it (no more tha a short splash). And stirring breaks up the ice & deadens/waters down the true taste. So it's always mo betta to SHAKE than stir.
Just a bartender's secret. ;-)
And yes, DO drink responsibly!
