This was very interesting. It's one of those subjects I've actually given a fair amount of thought to... & w/out being all schizophrenic about it... I always thought the voice in my head was the Real Me, the Essential & Most Authentic Me, w/out any filter.
However, there have been certain instances where I've even believed that voice to be the Better, Kinder, Wiser, More Righteous & More Telepathic Me.
In other words: my God Voice.
This leaves me with MUCH to *ponder.*

Separating your self from your thoughts... for over twenty years the answer for me has always been to follow the advice of Erick Sermon which was to "relax your mind and let your conscious be free".
It is not supposed to be complex. That is all there is to it.
