Dear Babz,Now if someone asks me if I have written today, I can smile knowingly and say "yes." Thank you! I hope you enjoy..../...Having just arrived, he is disappointed to see her leaving. But disappointment melts away as he sees her walking away in all her feminine splendor. He needs to get her attention, but he hesitates as his eyes wander down to the general area of her hips. “Just four steps,” he whispers softly to himself. His eyes keep count, but the moment ends much too quickly. “Are you looking for me?” he says in a clear, crisp tone just slightly deeper than his normal speaking voice. She smiles even before she has turned to face him. And when she does, her face radiates a mix of delight, warm affection, and genuine surprise, “Oh my god, what are you doing here?”He has seen her photos a hundred times but seeing her in person is suddenly an event he had no way of preparing for. This is a woman of rare, even timeless, beauty, with bright brown eyes, a delicate nose, and lips that perfectly frame the most infectious smile he has ever seen. And the canvas for these perfectly balanced elements is an even-toned face whose color can best be described as a mix of amber and honey. He was already smiling as he had been admiring her from behind, but now he can’t help grinning despite himself. Eventually, he finds his tongue, “I wanted to thank you.” He blinks a time or two, to clear his mind, “I mean I wanted to do it in person.”Somewhat oblivious to her own charms, or perhaps because she had spent years hoping to meet him, she responds in a daze that matches his, “Thank me?” She barely suppresses a nervous titter, “What on earth for?”The sound of her voice, always so melodic and pitch perfect, had always given him the sense of a woman in total control, and yet it also had a sensual quality that he found as intoxicating as it was unintentional. “It really meant a lot that you called me.” He hesitates before adding, “Hearing your voice was a very nice surprise.” He finally takes a few step towards her, closing the gap ever so slowly, “Do you really have to go?”.../..."Leaving so Soon?" by Xavier Pierre Jr. (inspired by Babz)
