I've only let her see the Whitney Houston/Brandy Cinderella (still Disney which I feel is the debil!) and she reads The Shana Show (can't remember if its one or two n's). It's tough out here for a little Black princess wanna be!Sister Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16398081637793847169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650845911079200343.post-22853923598173073322008-01-19T17:17:00.000-05:002008-01-19T17:17:00.000-05:00i ment karikou for the second onei ment karikou for the second oneJames Tubmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04192686802895547676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650845911079200343.post-44458426241687431462008-01-16T19:46:00.000-05:002008-01-16T19:46:00.000-05:00cool review!!!cool review!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650845911079200343.post-7438776042086469332008-01-15T18:38:00.000-05:002008-01-15T18:38:00.000-05:00Hey Sojourner G,Yes as far as I know it is still o...Hey Sojourner G,

Yes as far as I know it is still on tract. (Sigh) the good thing is that I will be in a nursing home by the time her book comes out about Mommie Deasrest! My daughter wants to be a princess when she grows up, and can't decide between the group of doe-eyed, candy-coated young women who as far as I can tell offer nothing to humanity except pretty singing voices (except maybe Belle). Did that sound bitter?
I guess I've got some stuff to work through! BUT you don't!! Not in this area, anyway...your head's on straight (and that's probably why your daughter won't need as much therapy as mine) :)Krissyfacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12920615943684795695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650845911079200343.post-37241488559899995812008-01-15T09:47:00.000-05:002008-01-15T09:47:00.000-05:00there are lots of afican cartoons out there that p...there are lots of afican cartoons out there that project Black women as princeses and queens

queen nzinga is one (might have to search on the net for these)

her story is amazing

kaikou is another (search again)

there are many others

it's very important that you show her positive images of women who look like herJames Tubmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04192686802895547676noreply@blogger.com
